Position: Software Developer

Design reports on business requirements. Design databases for the new projects, including table design and creation. Optimize poorly performing queries by avoiding deadlock situations and by accessing all the user tables in an order. Migrate and redesigned DTS packages to SSIS. Perform ETL process to load the MS-Excel reports to SQL 2008 DB. Design ETL processes to extract data from different sources, like Oracle and Teradata. Conduct performance tuning for slowly performing queries. Design database maintenance plans to take System and User DBs on a daily basis. Create maintenance plans for index defragmentation. Use performance monitor and SQL Profiler for health checks of all the servers. Create Alerts to make sure that all the jobs work find and used notification in case of any failures. Install SQL Server 2008 Active/Active clusters on Windows 2008 OS. Perform back-ups and restores using Compression. Configure Log Shipping for DR site; database mirroring and other options for data recovery. Assignment to client sites on an as needed basis. Requires: Masters degree in Computer or Electronic Engineering plus 1 year experience in design, implementation and development of large data warehouses using Teradata. Experience must have included Relational Data Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Data warehouse design concepts, Extraction/Transformation and Loading (ETL), Decision support systems and Metadata definition.

Position: Business Systems Analyst

Mavrick Software and Telecom Services, Inc. has an opening for ‘Business Systems Analyst’ with Masters in Business Administration, Business Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or any related discipline. Duties: Provide system analysis and support by working closely with the clients on projects; Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for business application development; Model the As-Is system and complete Gap Analysis for the existing system in order to map it to the To-Be system; Research, analyze and troubleshoot to diagnose and resolve medium to high complexity technical problems which involve extensive systems and data analysis using oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL; Provide assistance on the usage of layered components, such as data transformation tools, report writing and Analytics tools; Coordinate and prioritize outstanding defects and enhancement/system requests based on business requirements, allowing sufficient time frame to ensure accuracy and consider deadlines; Perform the mapping of Business requirement to Test cases; Involve in writing test plans as per the business requirements; Create test cases for System, Integration and User acceptance testing (UAT); and Investigate and troubleshoot Informatica ETL Mapping logics and Data transformations objects.
